HISTORY OF 10 MECH BN
10 Mech Bn located in Wa was established on 18 June 2020 based on promulgation dated October 2014 to take over operations responsibilities of the Upper West region from 69 Airborne Force as part of Northern Command. The changing trends in military operation, especially within regional boundaries coupled with advances in technology, international commitments and military support for the socio-economic development of the nation makes it imperative to establish the Battalion to be responsible for military operations in Upper West Region.7 officers and 100 soldiers were initially posted to kick start the Unit.
His civil educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Security and Strategy from Kings College, London ( 2013 – 2014) and an Executive Master of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) from University of Ghana, Legon (2006 – 2007).
